The Sealed Monster

Hirudegarn began as a sacred statue worshipped by the people of Planet Konats. When the dark sorcerers of the Kashvar clan used a forbidden spell to bring the statue to life and unleash it as a weapon, the resulting monster devastated entire civilizations. Unable to destroy Hirudegarn outright, the Konatsian heroes devised a desperate plan: they split the beast in two and sealed each half inside a living host. The upper body was imprisoned within the warrior Tapion, and the lower half within his younger brother Minotia. The brothers were then sealed in music boxes, their enchanted ocarinas serving as the key to keeping the monster dormant. This seal held for thousands of years until the wizard Hoi traveled to Earth and manipulated the Z Fighters into opening Tapion's music box, claiming the warrior was a hero who needed to be freed.

Rampage on Earth

Once released from Tapion, Hirudegarn reassembled itself and went on a rampage through the city. In its final evolved form, the creature was an insectoid giant that dwarfed buildings and shrugged off attacks from Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks and Ultimate Gohan. Its ability to become intangible made it nearly impossible to hit, as the monster could phase through solid matter and energy blasts at will. Hirudegarn's weakness was its emotional state; when angered or emotionally destabilized, it solidified and became vulnerable. Goku exploited this by transforming into Super Saiyan 3 and using the Dragon Fist technique, a ki-powered punch that summoned the image of a golden dragon. The attack pierced Hirudegarn's body and destroyed the monster from within, ending its centuries-long threat permanently. Though confined to a single film, Hirudegarn remains one of the most visually imposing monsters in Dragon Ball history, a kaiju-scale threat that required both strategy and overwhelming force to defeat.
