Salza is the leader of Cooler's Armored Squadron, an elite trio of warriors who serve Cooler, Frieza's older brother. He is a refined and intelligent fighter who considers himself superior to the Ginyu Force in every regard.
Salza commands Cooler's Armored Squadron alongside Neiz and Dore. He is the most skilled of the three, possessing both combat ability and tactical intelligence. His signature technique is a blade of energy that extends from his hand, which he uses with precision in close-quarters combat. He also demonstrates the ability to detect and deflect energy attacks with relative ease.
In Cooler's Revenge, Salza and his squadron track Goku to Earth and engage the Z Fighters while Cooler confronts Goku directly. Salza proves to be a formidable opponent, holding his own against Piccolo and the other defenders. His fighting style emphasizes elegance and efficiency, reflecting his cultured personality.
Salza survives the initial battle and appears in the sequel film, Cooler's Return, where he attacks Gohan and Krillin after they discover the Big Gete Star's core. He is ultimately killed by Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon. Despite his limited screen time, Salza leaves an impression as one of the more competent movie villains in the Dragon Ball Z film catalog.
