Tarble arrives on Earth seeking his brother Vegeta's help after being terrorized by two remnants of Frieza's army, Abo and Kado. His appearance shocks everyone, as Vegeta had never mentioned having a brother. Vegeta explains that Tarble was exiled because he lacked the fighting instinct expected of Saiyans, a trait considered shameful in their warrior culture.
Despite being a full-blooded Saiyan, Tarble possesses very little combat ability. He is gentle, polite, and somewhat timid, representing everything that Saiyan society rejected. His marriage to Gure, a tiny alien from the planet he was sent to, further demonstrates how far removed he is from typical Saiyan behavior.
Tarble's existence is occasionally referenced in Dragon Ball Super. When Beerus asks Vegeta about gathering Saiyans for the Super Saiyan God ritual, Vegeta briefly considers Tarble but notes that he is on a distant planet. Despite his canonical acknowledgment, Tarble has never appeared in the main anime or manga series beyond this OVA.

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

Dragon Ball handed us a protagonist with no history and the internet named him John Dragon Ball. So we built him somebody to talk to....
