The Guardian at the Tower's Base

The episode opens with General Blue crossing a desert on a camel, cursing about his ruined hair and vowing revenge on Goku. At Red Ribbon Army Headquarters, Commander Red plays pool while monitoring operations. Captain Yellow's squadron has located a Dragon Ball inside a volcanic crater and attempts to retrieve it by lowering a soldier into the volcano via helicopter.

At the base of the towering Korin Tower, the native warrior Bora lives peacefully with his young son Upa, spearfishing and protecting the Sacred Land. When the volcano erupts and sends the Dragon Ball flying near their home, Captain Yellow's battalion descends to claim it. Yellow offers Bora a job with the Red Ribbon Army, but Bora refuses, declaring that the Sacred Land does not belong to them and ordering the soldiers to leave.

Yellow orders his men to attack, but Bora proves completely immune to their bullets. He single-handedly defeats or kills the entire squadron while Upa fetches his spear. Yellow retreats temporarily, only to return and kidnap Upa as a hostage. Goku, arriving on the Flying Nimbus, hears Upa's cries for help and punches Captain Yellow straight out of his plane. When Goku lands and sees the Dragon Ball Bora is holding, his eyes light up: it is the Four-Star Ball, his Grandpa Gohan's keepsake.

A Father's Strength, A Boy's Reunion

Bora's battle against Captain Yellow's soldiers is a stunning display of raw power. Bullets bounce off his body like pebbles, and he dismantles an entire battalion with nothing but his spear and bare hands. His protective devotion to Upa and the Sacred Land makes him one of the most immediately sympathetic characters introduced in the series.

The Four-Star Ball Returns

Goku's recovery of the Four-Star Dragon Ball is the emotional payoff the audience has been waiting for since the start of the Red Ribbon Army Saga. This is not just any Dragon Ball; it is the memento of his late grandfather, and Goku's entire quest has been driven by the desire to find it. The moment he recognizes it in Bora's hand carries genuine weight.

New Allies, New Threats

This episode marks the first appearances of Bora, Upa, and Captain Yellow, as well as the debut of the Sacred Land of Korin and Korin Tower. The tower, stretching impossibly high into the clouds, will become one of the most important training locations in Dragon Ball lore.

Commander Red's decision to call in Mercenary Tao, glimpsed briefly at the episode's end, signals a massive escalation in the threat facing Goku. The Red Ribbon Army is done sending officers and soldiers; they are hiring the world's deadliest assassin. This episode also transitions from the General Blue Saga into the Commander Red Saga.
