With Goku and Trunks imprisoned in capsule chambers on Planet M-2, Pan disguises herself as a robot to infiltrate the machine base. She discovers a group of defective robots with genuine emotions, then destroys the Sigma Force member Natt using a technique the machines had never seen before.
Pan refuses to give up on her captured friends. She approaches the machine base and finds it swarming with robotic sentries. To avoid detection, she disguises herself as one of the facility's many identical robots and blends into a marching patrol. The ruse works until the group passes through a security wall that Pan cannot phase through.
Rather than being captured, she is classified as defective and thrown into a holding room filled with rejected robots. These machines, unlike the cold warriors outside, possess genuine feelings and personalities, qualities that made them failures in the eyes of their creators.
Pan sympathizes with the emotional robots but cannot linger. She blasts her way out of the holding area and gets directions toward the chamber where Goku and Trunks are being held. Inside that chamber, the machines are scanning the sleeping Saiyans, downloading their combat data to feed into the Sigma Force's memory banks.
Giru assists in the process, allowing General Rilldo to download the complete fighting records of the Z Fighters into the Mega Cannon Sigma Force. Every technique, every pattern, every weakness is catalogued and uploaded.
General Rilldo sends Natt, one of the Sigma Force members, to intercept Pan. Armed with all of Pan's downloaded combat data, Natt predicts her every move and dominates the fight. Pan takes a beating but quickly realizes the robot can only anticipate techniques she has used before.
She unleashes her Maiden's Rage, a ki attack Natt's database has no record of. The blast tears through the robot and destroys it completely, marking the first time any Sigma Force member has ever been eliminated. Pan breaks into the command area just as Goku begins to stir from his forced sleep, setting the stage for a full counterattack.
