Goku awakens in a mysterious dimension where he must win a board game against Sugoro or die. Meanwhile, Baby Vegeta uses the Black Star Dragon Balls to wish a new Planet Plant into existence. Pan watches helplessly as the Tuffles begin migrating to their new world.
Episode 30 reveals that Goku has not died but instead landed in an unknown dimension called Sugoroku Space. The only way out is to defeat a creature named Sugoro in a bizarre board game where the loser forfeits their life. On the Sacred World of the Kai, Kibito Kai interrupts Old Kai's fishing to report that Goku is trapped in this pocket dimension, a place where even the Kais' powers cannot reach.
Goku's luck is abysmal. He lands on penalty after penalty while Sugoro cruises through fortunate spaces. A riddle challenge nearly sends Goku plummeting onto lethal spikes, but he jams himself against the wall at the last second to survive. The game is stacked against him, and without his full powers, brute force is not an option.
Back on Earth, Baby Vegeta's conquest takes a dramatic leap forward. Dende, now under Baby's control, delivers the Black Star Dragon Balls to his master. Baby Vegeta summons Ultimate Shenron and wishes for the creation of a new Planet Plant, identical to the Tuffle homeworld destroyed by the ancient Saiyans. The wish is granted, and a new planet materializes in Earth's solar system.
Pan witnesses the summoning from a distance and sees Ultimate Shenron for the first time. She realizes that with the Dragon Balls scattered again, she would need to collect them all within one year or the Earth is doomed. Mr. Satan tries to comfort her, but Pan steels herself and decides to take the fight directly to the Tuffles.
Bulma finishes constructing a massive transport ship at Capsule Corporation, and the Tuffle-infected population of Earth gathers for migration to the new Planet Plant. Pan tries calling out to Trunks in the crowd, hoping to break through Baby's control, but Mr. Satan pulls her back. The two begin plotting a way to sneak onto the Tuffle Planet in disguise.
In Sugoroku Space, Goku's situation grows more desperate. He sits only four spaces from defeat, and the dice seem determined to send him to his doom. The episode juggles these two storylines, leaving Goku stranded in a game he cannot seem to win while Pan prepares to infiltrate an entire civilization that wants her dead.
