The Great Escape

Episode 31 finds Goku four spaces from losing the deadly board game. When his turn comes, he accidentally flings the dice toward the lava, and the die squeals in pain, revealing itself as a living creature. Goku exposes the con: Sugoro and his son Shusugoro have been cheating all along, rigging every roll.

The game dimension itself turns hostile once the fraud is uncovered, threatening to kill both Sugoro and Shusugoro. Goku protects them and discovers that his powers have returned. With a Kamehameha, he blasts an exit through the crumbling dimension. Just as falling rocks threaten to crush them all, Kibito Kai appears and teleports Goku and the Space Lemurs to safety on the Sacred World of the Kai.

Infiltrating Planet Plant

Old Kai briefs Goku on the dire situation. Baby has relocated everyone to a new Tuffle Planet wished into existence with the Black Star Dragon Balls, and even Dende and Mr. Popo are under Baby's control. Goku wants to charge into battle immediately, but Old Kai insists he needs training first and assigns him to grind coffee beans, a task that seems pointless until Goku's tailbone begins to itch.

Meanwhile, Pan devises a clever infiltration plan. She and Mr. Satan hide inside Majin Buu, who reshapes his face to pass as a stranger named "Bo." They bluff their way past Krillin and the other infected passengers, securing the 100th and final boarding spot on the last transport ship to Planet Plant.

Enter the Student

On Planet Plant, Pan puts her own scheme into action, attempting to introduce laxatives into the population's food supply to flush Baby's eggs from their systems. The idea works briefly until Videl kicks Pan out of the sky, and Gohan prepares to convert her into a Tuffle. Baby declares that Pan is worthless to him and orders her execution.

Goku watches Pan's peril through Old Kai's Crystal Ball and begs to be sent to fight. Old Kai refuses, insisting Goku is not ready. Just as Gohan takes aim, a powerful kick sends him sprawling. Uub, Goku's former student, has been hiding deep in the mountains since detecting the worldwide infection. He stands between Pan and certain death, declaring that Baby's fight is now with him.
