Bulma and Jaco travel to the planet of the all-knowing Zuno to gather intelligence on the Super Dragon Balls. After wasting two of her three questions, Bulma learns the orbs are planet-sized and scattered across Universes 6 and 7.
On his way to Earth, Jaco spots a wanted dine-and-dasher named Geppuman but gets distracted and accidentally destroys a Galactic Natural Monument, which he promptly blames on the fugitive. Once on Earth, Vegeta and Piccolo trick Jaco into escorting Bulma on her mission. After a stern warning from Vegeta to behave around his wife, the two blast off for Zuno's planet.
Arriving at their destination, Bulma and Jaco learn that Zuno's schedule is booked solid for the next seven years. Dejected, they turn to leave but stumble upon Geppuman, who has an appointment to ask Zuno how to dodge restaurant bills forever. Jaco arrests him on the spot, and the pair takes his appointment slot.
Inside Zuno's chamber, Bulma wastes her first two questions through careless phrasing, leaving her with only one. She uses it wisely, learning that the Super Dragon Balls were created by the dragon god Zalama, that they are the size of planets, and that they are scattered across both Universe 6 and Universe 7. Upon returning to Earth, Vegeta connects the dots: Champa has been sneaking into Universe 7 to steal Super Dragon Balls. Jaco decides he wants to watch the upcoming tournament and heads off to deliver Geppuman to Galactic Patrol headquarters.
This episode is a comedic detour, but it carries strategic weight. Bulma's wasted questions are pure slapstick, yet the one answer she does obtain reshapes the team's understanding of what they are fighting for. Planet-sized wish orbs spread across twin universes means Champa has been planning this competition far longer than anyone realized.
Jaco continues to be the franchise's best comic relief outside the main cast. His accidental destruction of a galactic monument, his panic when Bulma overhears his lie, and his rock-stacking "important mission" all land because the character takes himself completely seriously while the world around him does not.
Zuno debuts here as a narrative device for exposition, an all-knowing being who trades answers for appointments. His information confirms that the Super Dragon Balls predate both universes' sets of regular Dragon Balls and were crafted by the dragon god Zalama. Vegeta's deduction that Champa has been raiding Universe 7 for the orbs adds a layer of scheming to the God of Destruction that goes beyond simple rivalry. Tights also briefly appears, maintaining her connection to the Jaco manga continuity.
