Guardians of the Galaxy

The Galactic Patrol serves as the primary law enforcement body for the known universe, answering directly to the Galactic King. With a roster of only 38 members, the organization is remarkably small for its jurisdiction. The patrol's history stretches back millions of years, most notably to the capture of the evil wizard Moro, whose power was sealed by Grand Supreme Kai. Despite their best efforts, no one proved strong enough to carry out Moro's death sentence, leaving him imprisoned for ten million years.

A Collision Course with Earth

Among the patrol's more colorful members is Jaco, a short but confident operative who considers himself a super elite. When headquarters detects a projectile launching from Planet Vegeta toward Earth, Jaco receives orders to intercept the threat. The patrol believes a Saiyan infiltration baby has been dispatched to conquer the underdeveloped world.

An Unauthorized Departure

What neither Jaco nor the patrol realizes is that this Saiyan child, Kakarot, was never sent on an official mission. His parents Bardock and Gine stole an Attack Ball and launched their son toward Earth in secret, fearing Frieza intended to exterminate the Saiyan race. They chose Earth because it lay far from Frieza's domain, though Bardock warned Kakarot to beware the Galactic Patrol.

A Fateful Failure

Jaco's mission becomes sidetracked by misadventures. He befriends Tights, Omori, Katayude, and even young Bulma and Dr. Brief. Through a comical turn of events, Jaco misses Kakarot's arrival entirely and reports his mission as a success. The child lands undetected, is found by Grandpa Gohan, and grows up as Son Goku, eventually becoming one of Earth's greatest protectors.
