Van Zant's cruelty pushes Majin Buu past his breaking point. After healing both Bee and a mortally wounded Mr. Satan, Buu's uncontrollable rage causes his evil side to physically separate from his body. The newly formed Evil Buu kills Van Zant instantly and turns to confront his good half.
Van Zant fires a rocket at Majin Buu, but the explosion does nothing. Mr. Satan, having dodged the blast, charges up and kicks both gunmen off the cliff in a rare display of genuine bravery. He discovers that Bee survived the earlier gunshot, and Buu heals the puppy completely. The two celebrate, and Buu rebuilds his house in the shape of a dog.
Life settles into a strange domestic routine. Buu and Satan share a bath (though Buu nearly drowns his human friend, not understanding the need to breathe). Satan looks at his old photo of faking victory over Buu and tears it up, realizing he no longer needs the lie.
Satan prepares dinner for Buu, but the peaceful evening is destroyed when Van Zant reappears at the window. Satan charges the gunman but takes a bullet to the chest. Buu's reaction is immediate and volcanic. Steam erupts uncontrollably from the holes in his head as rage consumes him.
Buu manages to heal Satan's wound, but he cannot contain the fury building inside him. He screams for Satan to take Bee and run as far as possible. Satan grabs the puppy and flees in terror, watching over his shoulder as something terrible begins to emerge from Buu's body.
In a massive eruption of steam, a new figure materializes: Evil Buu, the living embodiment of all the hatred and malice within Majin Buu. This gaunt, gray creature wastes no time. He flies directly to Van Zant, who fires his gun in desperation. The bullets have no effect, and Evil Buu obliterates the gunman with a single blast.
Evil Buu then turns his attention to his other half. Good Buu stands his ground as the two Buus face each other. Mr. Satan watches from a distance in absolute horror, realizing that the friend he helped create has now split into something far more dangerous than the original monster ever was.
