Power Beyond Measurement

Goku powers up to his absolute maximum, and the results leave Captain Ginyu frozen in shock. The reading on Ginyu's scouter is far beyond anything he anticipated. At 180,000, Goku's battle power dwarfs Ginyu's own, and the captain knows with absolute certainty that he cannot win through conventional combat. For perhaps the first time in his illustrious career, Ginyu faces an opponent who completely outclasses him in raw power and has the technique to back it up.

Guru's Final Preparations

At the Grand Elder's tower, Guru senses that time is running short. He unlocks Dende's hidden abilities and sends the young Namekian to find the Earthlings. Dende's unlocked potential will prove crucial in unexpected ways, granting him healing powers that will become the team's most valuable tactical asset in the battles ahead. Moments later, Frieza arrives at the doorstep, and the situation at Guru's home reaches a critical point.

Nail, Guru's faithful guardian, steps forward to challenge the tyrant, knowing full well that he cannot win but determined to buy as much time as possible for his people and their new allies. His willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater cause embodies the Namekian warrior spirit at its finest.

Nail's Courageous Stand

Nail and Frieza relocate to fight away from Guru's home. The warrior-type Namekian puts up a valiant effort, and his ability to regenerate lost limbs catches Frieza off guard. But the power gap is simply too vast. Frieza toys with Nail, dismembering him repeatedly while interrogating him about the Dragon Ball password. Still, every second Nail buys is another second for the Earthlings to act.

The fight is less a battle and more a controlled demolition, with Nail enduring unimaginable punishment to fulfill his role as protector. His courage in the face of certain defeat becomes one of the most quietly heroic acts in the entire Namek saga.

The Body Change Gambit

Back on the battlefield, Ginyu does something no one expects. Rather than continue a fight he knows he will lose, he deliberately wounds himself, driving his fist into his own chest. Before Goku can react, Ginyu fires the Body Change beam, a technique that swaps the user's consciousness into the target's body. The beam strikes true, and Goku finds himself trapped in Ginyu's damaged shell while the captain commandeers his powerful Saiyan form.

It is one of the most devious tactics ever employed in the series. Ginyu does not need to be stronger; he just needs to steal the body of someone who is. The desperate gambit turns the entire power dynamic upside down in a single moment.
