Still hunting the final Dragon Ball, Goku, Bulma, and Oolong roll into a village where every citizen flinches at the sight of Bulma. A disguise fixes the misunderstanding, but two rabbit-eared thugs soon appear and demand attention, so Goku obliges with his fists.
Goku, Bulma, and Oolong continue pressing westward in search of the seventh Dragon Ball, steering their hovercar through an odd landscape of towering mushrooms. Fuel is running low and none of them can place their location on a map. Behind them, Yamcha and Puar keep up the pursuit, still hoping to lift the group's Dragon Balls for themselves.
The travelers eventually reach a small village, where every local they pass stares at Bulma with obvious terror. They pull up at a gas station anyway, and while the car is being filled, Bulma heads off to restock on capsules. To her surprise, both the attendant and the capsule vendor refuse to accept payment, handing over their goods with shaking hands.
Assuming her luck has turned, Bulma stops at a clothing shop and trades her bunny costume for a gypsy outfit. The shopkeeper explodes in anger when he realizes she is not actually a member of the so-called Rabbit Mob, accusing her of a cruel prank. Confused but now ignored by passersby, Bulma walks back to Goku and Oolong and spots the real source of the village's fear: two uniformed men in rabbit ears bullying residents in broad daylight.
When the thugs swagger over to her, Bulma puts the pieces together and tells Goku to handle them. He eagerly flattens both goons in seconds. As they sprawl on the dirt, one of them fumbles for a walkie-talkie and calls in their boss, and the villagers scatter in fresh panic at the sound of that single word.
