Just as Pilaf is about to ask Shenron for world domination, Oolong blurts out a wish of his own and ruins the emperor's moment. A vengeful Pilaf locks the gang inside a glass-roofed oven and leaves them to bake under the desert sun.
With Shenron looming overhead and the Dragon Balls glowing at his feet, Emperor Pilaf begins to voice his plan for global conquest. The heroes, still trapped inside the castle, can only watch in horror as their chance at stopping him slips away. At the very last second Oolong barges in and shouts out a ridiculous request of his own, demanding a pair of girl's panties. The astonished Pilaf is cut off mid-sentence as Shenron accepts the wish. A pair of panties drops out of the sky and lands squarely on Oolong's face. The dragon's task fulfilled, Shenron vanishes in a blaze of light and the seven Dragon Balls fire off in every direction to scatter across the planet.
Pilaf is apoplectic. His grand scheme for world rule has been undone by a talking pig and a pair of underwear. In retaliation he has the entire group shoved into a sealed steel box topped with reinforced glass, out in the middle of the desert. He tells them cheerfully that the sun will cook them long before they figure out an escape. As the others start to panic about their fate and the scattered Dragon Balls, Goku breaks the tension with a complaint about being hungry, closing the chapter on a familiar note.
