The flashy and ruthless General Blue finally enters the hunt in earnest, splitting his company in two. One squad dives after Goku and friends under the sea while Captain Dark leads a second strike straight at Kame House, and torpedoes drive the Dragon Ball hunters into a hidden pirate cave.
Bulma calls the dive spot from the cockpit while Krillin pilots the little submarine through the water. General Blue watches through binoculars from the shore, smirking when he recognizes Goku now traveling with two companions. A soldier reports that the enemy still has two Dragon Balls sitting back at their base, confirming Blues suspicion that Kame House is the heart of the operation. He divides his forces immediately, placing Captain Dark in charge of B Company and ordering a strike on the island, while he personally leads A Company in pursuit of the boy.
Beneath the surface, Bulma insists the ball is directly below them despite the barren sea floor. Goku pulls on scuba gear and slips out to investigate, spotting a narrow fissure in the rock. Bulma brings the sub close to measure its depth and finds it extends into a branching cave system. She calls Goku back with the good news. Moments later, a massive military submarine glides up alongside them. When Bulma steers toward the cave entrance, Blue gives the order to open fire. Torpedoes miss by inches, and the trio realize with horror that the Red Ribbon Army has found them again.
Krillin and Bulma panic while Goku explains that the Army has been chasing him across the continent. A second volley of torpedoes forces them to dive into the tunnel opening, and Blue changes his orders from destruction to pursuit, executing the gunman who nearly ruined his chance at the Dragon Ball. The trio spots a narrower passage ahead that the enemy sub cannot fit through and cheers briefly, only to see Blue transfer his men into smaller craft. Far above at Kame House, Turtle looks up at the horizon as Captain Darks B Company descends on the beach and begins their assault.
