Goku, Bulma, and Krillin venture deeper into the undersea pirate cave and stumble into a lethal spear trap that turns a narrow corridor into a slaughterhouse for General Blues pursuing soldiers. Meanwhile the long rumored pirate treasure finally begins to come into view up ahead.
The cave grows pitch dark until Goku stumbles across a light switch, leaving Bulma to wonder who on earth kept the electricity running down here. General Blue watches the same illumination from behind and concludes that the tunnels must hide some kind of secret base. As the trio press on, Goku spots a weathered pirate skeleton and promptly plops its skull onto his own head for a laugh. Bulma shrieks, the soldiers listening overhead hear her scream, and Krillin realizes the old legends about hidden pirate treasure must be true. Blue overhears the radio report and allows himself a greedy smile.
Ahead, the group reaches a long corridor studded with pressure plates on the floor and narrow slits lining the walls. Krillin casually walks forward and steps on one of the triggers. A spear snaps out of the wall at neck height and whistles over his bald head, sparing him only because of his small stature. Bulma explains that this is an old pirate countermeasure against intruders, and Goku proposes they leap across the plates to reach the far side. He clears the room in one bound, Krillin follows and nearly cracks his head on the ceiling, but Bulma refuses to jump at all.
Goku extends his Nyoi Bo and lets Bulma dangle from it as he shrinks the staff, carrying her safely across. They move on into the next chamber while General Blue orders his men to charge through and kill on sight, privately planning to claim the treasure and the Dragon Balls for himself. Moments later the corridor erupts with screams. Blue races forward to find every soldier impaled on the spears, one still weakly apologizing for failing him. Undaunted, he studies the walls until he finds a hidden switch, and the panel slides open just as Goku and the others reach the pirates underground harbor.
