Pinned by Blue's psychic grip and staring down the barrel of a capsule shotgun, Goku is saved by the most unlikely of heroes: a tiny cave mouse whose appearance breaks the general's concentration just long enough for a knockout counterattack and a race for the Three-Star Ball.
Trapped by Blue's Chonoryoku, Goku takes a brutal kick that slams him off the ceiling and into the cave floor. With the ruins groaning around them, Blue pops open a capsule and materializes a shotgun, aiming it at Goku's head while demanding Bulma give up the Dragon Ball. She blurts out that it is probably at the bottom of the nearby pool, and Blue thanks her before reminding everyone that anyone who crosses the Red Ribbon Army still has to die. Just as he shouts his farewell and squeezes the trigger, a small mouse scurries past his boots. The prissy commander shrieks in disgust, drops his concentration, and Goku's limbs are suddenly his own again.
Goku wastes no time. He charges in, pokes Blue square in the eyes with a two-finger Choki, and follows up with a Janken Gu fist that launches the general face-first into the wall and knocks him out cold. Krillin and Bulma celebrate for a second, but the cave is still falling apart around them. Goku tells his friends to run for the exit while he dives into the pool. At the bottom he shoves a rock aside and uncovers the Three-Star Dragon Ball, tucking it safely into his gi before kicking back toward the surface.
Before leaving, Goku hunts down the mouse that saved his life, scoops it gently into his mouth, and dashes back through the collapsing harbor. Bulma and Krillin find their exit blocked by rubble and fire up a small submarine as a last-ditch ride out. Deeper in the ruin, Blue stirs just long enough to greedily grab at the pirate treasure chest before the treasure room's ceiling caves in on top of him. With the sub ready and Goku still missing, the chapter ends on a frantic cliffhanger as loose stone rains down around the little vessel.
