Run, Run, Run!

Manga ChapterCh. 79

With the Pirate Cave collapsing around them, a dead submarine and a roof full of rocks force Goku to turn his Kamehameha into an improvised booster rocket. Back on the surface, the Z warriors think they have escaped, but a soaked and seething General Blue is already climbing into a plane of his own.

Kamehameha Submarine

Inside the flooding harbor, Bulma insists her life is worth more than anyone's while Krillin refuses to leave without Goku. A bruised Goku finally sprints into view, dodging falling rocks, and dives into the tiny sub with the mouse still tucked in his cheek. The craft descends into a chaotic tunnel of loose stone, and just when it looks like they can thread the passage to open sea, the engine coughs and dies. Thinking fast, Goku turns to the back of the cabin, hands Krillin the mouse, cups his palms, and fires a Kamehameha that blows the rear glass out and rockets the submarine like a bottle cap all the way up to the surface of the ocean.

An Odd Flying Formation

The wave launches the whole party skyward. Goku calls down Kinto-Un, grabs Krillin's foot, and Krillin snags Bulma's arm while somehow still clutching the rescued mouse. The mismatched human kite drifts down to shore, where the three collapse in relief near the Red Ribbon base. Krillin laments going through all of that for nothing, but Bulma smirks and pulls a hidden diamond out of her underwear, leaving Krillin baffled about the physics of the stash. Goku also proudly reveals the Three-Star Dragon Ball he retrieved from the pool.

A Tail Still Behind Them

Bulma flatly refuses to hunt any more balls after nearly dying, arguing that Goku never warned her the Red Ribbon Army was involved. Krillin spots an abandoned Red Ribbon jet-copter on the beach and suggests they fly it home, planning to offer Bulma's diamond to Master Roshi as compensation for the lost submarine. None of them realize that a soaked and seething General Blue has dragged himself out of the water just in time to watch them go, and as they head back toward Kame House he quietly climbs into his own plane and takes off after them.
