A Gift From the Sacred Land

After rescuing Upa from Captain Yellow, Goku is rewarded by Bora with a treasured family heirloom. To Goku's astonishment the keepsake turns out to be the Four-Star Dragon Ball, the exact orb he has been hunting since his journey began. Stunned by his luck, he explains the purpose of the Dragon Balls to Bora and Upa, who listen with quiet fascination. Curious about the enormous pillar rising above the plain, Goku asks about Korin Tower, and Bora shares the legend that anyone who can climb its full height becomes vastly stronger.

Blue Returns in Disgrace

Far away at Red Ribbon Headquarters, General Blue storms in carrying only the stolen Dragon Radar. The sentries at the gate fail to recognize him, and Blue kills one of them with a single brutal elbow strike to prove his identity. Inside Commander Red's office, Red is already meeting with a new contractor, the infamous hitman Mercenary Tao, whose fees are outrageous and whose confidence is even greater.

Tao Silences His Doubters

Staff Officer Black openly questions whether Tao is worth his price. Red, furious at Blue for losing the Dragon Balls, offers Blue one last chance, survive a duel against Tao and live. Tao calmly announces that he will finish Blue using only his tongue. Blue laughs, then lunges, but Tao evades effortlessly and kills the general instantly by striking a lethal pressure point on his skull with his tongue. Red and Black are left speechless. Black hands Tao a photograph of Goku and names him the target. Rather than board a jet, Tao rips a massive pillar from the headquarters, hurls it skyward, and rides it toward Korin to finish his work.
