The Demon King Returns

Piccolo descends back to the ring, battered but standing. Goku is visibly impressed that Piccolo absorbed the Super Kamehameha so readily. Without his turban, Piccolo's features are now fully visible to the crowd, and the World Tournament Announcer is the first to notice the resemblance. Launch points out that he looks exactly like King Piccolo. A wave of anxious murmuring sweeps through the audience until Piccolo silences them all by declaring that he is the reincarnation of Piccolo Daimao.

Piccolo announces his plans to conquer the world once Goku is defeated. The declaration triggers mass panic. Spectators flee in every direction. Oolong, Launch, Bulma, Puar, and the ever-dedicated announcer leap over the barricade and stay to watch, with the announcer continuing to call the action from a safer distance. Goku instructs Chi-Chi, Master Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tenshinhan to move back as well. They relocate from the crumbling backstage area to the remains of the audience section.

Giant Transformation

Piccolo declares that the crowd will enjoy what comes next and begins channeling enormous energy through his body. His muscles swell and his frame expands rapidly until he towers over the arena at roughly the size of a Great Ape. The transformation leaves the remaining onlookers stunned.

The colossal Piccolo swings a fist downward at Goku, who dodges by a hair. Piccolo follows with a massive stomp, and Goku barely hops clear of the impact. Goku springs upward to Piccolo's eye level, but the giant fighter swats him back down to the ring with a punishing backhand. Goku hits the arena surface hard. Tenshinhan offers to jump in and assist, but Goku refuses, insisting he wants to win the match cleanly without being disqualified for outside interference.
