Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon tears through both Raditz and Goku, killing them instantly. As Raditz lies dying, he reveals that two far more powerful Saiyans have been listening to the entire battle and will arrive on Earth within a year. In the depths of space, Vegeta and Nappa learn of the Dragon Balls and set course for Earth with ambitions of their own.
Piccolo's Full-Nelson Special Beam Cannon rips through Raditz's chest and out Goku's back, sending both warriors crashing to the ground. Raditz is stunned that his brother would throw away his life. Piccolo casually mentions that Goku can be revived using the Dragon Balls, but Raditz only laughs. His scouter has been broadcasting everything to two comrades in deep space. They will come to Earth, wipe out the humans, and possibly wish him back. Goku asks how long before they arrive. One year.
Raditz continues taunting them about the overwhelming power of his allies until Piccolo finishes him off. Shortly after, Kame-Sen'nin, Bulma, and Kuririn arrive by plane, spotting Piccolo standing alone among the devastation.
On a distant planet, two armored Saiyans receive the final transmission. Nappa confirms Raditz's death through his scouter. Vegeta, chewing on the limb of a freshly killed alien, considers his next move. Nappa suggests wishing Raditz back, but Vegeta calls it a waste. He wants eternal life instead.
They blast off in spherical pods and discuss the extraordinary battle power of Goku's son. Nappa suggests breeding with Earthlings to rebuild the Saiyan empire, but Vegeta rejects the idea. Having subordinates stronger than themselves would be too risky. Better to simply kill everyone.
Back on Earth, Piccolo explains the situation. Kuririn kneels over Goku while Bulma tends to the unconscious Gohan. Goku quietly passes away and his body vanishes. Piccolo deduces that Kami claimed it, likely for some plan of his own. As the group absorbs what happened, the two Saiyans settle into hibernation for their journey to Earth.
