Nappa turns his fury on Gohan and Krillin, battering the young half-Saiyan with savage force. Krillin retaliates with the Destructo Disc, a razor-sharp energy blade that narrowly misses cleaving Nappa in two. Just as all seems lost, Piccolo recovers and senses an enormous ki approaching: Son Goku has nearly arrived.
With Piccolo down, Nappa sets his sights on Gohan. He taunts the boy for being half Saiyan and tells him to at least make the fight entertaining. A vicious kick launches Gohan skyward, and a follow-up strike smashes him through a nearby mountainside. Gohan drags himself upright, coughing blood, as the towering Saiyan closes in for more.
Krillin intervenes, slamming a kick into Nappa's face and driving him back with a quick combination. Nappa recovers and charges, swinging wild punches that Krillin barely dodges with a series of desperate back flips. Realizing he needs something decisive, Krillin raises one palm and gathers energy into a spinning disc of concentrated ki above his hand.
Krillin announces his technique and hurls the Destructo Disc straight at Nappa. The Saiyan braces to take it head-on, but Vegeta screams at him to dodge. Nappa twists aside at the last possible instant. The disc slices clean through a mountain behind him as though cutting paper, and grazes Nappa's cheek, leaving a thin bloody cut. Enraged by the wound, Nappa fires a blast at Krillin. Krillin leaps clear of the direct hit but is caught by the shockwave, crashing hard to the ground.
Nappa advances to finish Krillin, but a blast strikes him squarely in the back, scorching through his armor. Piccolo has regained consciousness and fired from behind. Vegeta laughs at Nappa's inability to handle these lesser fighters, and then Piccolo freezes. He senses an overwhelming ki barreling toward them at incredible speed. Nappa demands to know what has rattled them, and Piccolo grins: Son Goku is coming.
