Mano a Maniac!!

Manga ChapterCh. 227

Goku and Vegeta finally clash one on one, trading blows at blinding speed across the barren wasteland. Vegeta mocks Goku as a low-class warrior unworthy of challenging a super elite, but Goku refuses to back down and unleashes the Kaio-ken technique to close the overwhelming gap between them.

A Low-Class Challenge

Vegeta taunts Goku, reminding him that Saiyans are ranked by combat potential at birth. Low-level fighters like Goku are shipped off to weak planets where they pose no risk. Goku, unfazed, thanks Vegeta for explaining why he ended up on Earth in the first place. He declares his intent to push past the elite threshold, which Vegeta dismisses as a joke before vowing to demonstrate a level of power that cannot be surpassed.

An Exchange of Blows

The two warriors drop into fighting stances and launch at each other. They trade punches at incredible speed, blocking and countering in rapid succession. Vegeta chains together a series of back flips to dodge one of Goku's kicks, then rockets forward and drives an elbow into Goku's face. Goku recovers before hitting the ground and charges back upward. The two continue exchanging strikes in midair, with Vegeta goading Goku that this fight is nothing like the easy victory over Nappa.

Vegeta Takes the Lead

Vegeta hammers Goku downward, and Goku lands on top of a rocky spire. Settling onto an adjacent formation, Vegeta watches as Goku openly admits that the Saiyan prince has completely outclassed him. The gap in their base power is undeniable.

Kaio-ken Ignites

Refusing to accept defeat, Goku flares his aura and announces the Kaio-ken. He fires a kiai blast at Vegeta, who dodges upward, only for Goku to pursue and land a solid punch to his face. Goku presses the advantage, landing several more hits before kicking Vegeta across the sky. Goku gives chase, but Vegeta accelerates and doubles back with a vicious counter-kick. Both fighters touch down on opposite ends of the battlefield, and Goku is left stunned that Vegeta can still match him even with the Kaio-ken active.
