All That Power...

The Spirit Bomb Scattered

Goku concentrates with his hands raised, drawing in every last drop of the Earth's energy. He notices that Vegeta's eyesight is returning but takes comfort in having put significant distance between them. Finally, the Spirit Bomb is complete, all of the planet's collected genki compressed into a single sphere above his palms. Goku prepares to launch it, but Vegeta spots him in the distance. The Great Ape opens its jaws and fires a massive mouth blast straight at Goku's position. The explosion obliterates the rock formation beneath him, and the shockwave sends Yajirobe flying. Krillin and Gohan, still racing back toward the battlefield, feel the blast from afar.

Everything Lost

Goku survives but at a terrible cost. His left shoulder is mangled, and the energy he painstakingly gathered for the Spirit Bomb has been dispersed by the impact. All that time spent concentrating while Great Ape Vegeta raged blindly is gone in a single instant. Goku lies in the rubble and believes it is truly over.

Total Domination

Vegeta stomps toward the fallen warrior and raises his foot to crush him. Goku musters just enough strength to dodge at the last possible moment. Vegeta responds by swatting Goku into a nearby cliff face. Goku crumples to the ground, barely able to move as Vegeta pins him underfoot and grinds him into the earth. Krillin and Gohan sense that Goku's ki is shrinking with every passing second.

One Final Defiance

Vegeta lifts his foot and begins lecturing the broken Saiyan beneath him. Goku lies still, believing this is the end. Vegeta extends a single massive finger, preparing to press Goku flat, but Goku fires a one-handed energy blast directly into Vegeta's right eye. The shot tears into the Great Ape's face, drawing blood and sending Vegeta into a fury. Goku admits he has nothing left and tells Vegeta to do whatever he wants. Enraged at the damage to his face, Vegeta scoops Goku up in his hands and begins crushing him between his palms.
