Goku reclaims his original body by throwing himself into the path of Ginyu's Body Change beam, then neutralizes the captain for good by tossing a frog into the next attempt. With Ginyu trapped as an amphibian, Vegeta leads the group inside Frieza's spaceship, places Goku in a Medical Machine, and outfits Gohan and Krillin with Battle Armor.
Vegeta charges toward Captain Ginyu, intent on killing him while he lies beaten on the ground. Goku, watching from the sideline in Ginyu's battered body, recognizes what is about to happen. As Ginyu fires the Body Change beam at the oncoming Vegeta, Goku hurls himself into its path. The technique strikes Goku instead, and the swap reverses: Goku returns to his own body, and Ginyu is dumped back into his original wounded form. Gohan quickly pieces together what just occurred.
While Gohan, Vegeta, and Krillin discuss their next move, Ginyu refuses to accept defeat. He initiates the Body Change beam a second time, aiming directly at Vegeta. Goku reacts instantly, snatching a nearby frog and flinging it into the beam's trajectory. The technique connects with the amphibian instead. When the light fades, Ginyu's consciousness is trapped inside the tiny frog, and the frog's mind now occupies Ginyu's motionless body. The threat is over.
Vegeta wants to crush Ginyu even in his new frog form, but Goku tells him to leave the captain alone. Vegeta relents, remarking that life as a frog will be punishment enough. He then acknowledges that he could eliminate the rest of the group right now, but he needs their help against Frieza, so he chooses to cooperate for the time being.
Understanding that Goku must recover fully before facing Frieza, Vegeta leads the injured Saiyan inside Frieza's spaceship and places him in a Medical Machine. The healing process begins immediately. Vegeta then provides Gohan and Krillin with sets of Battle Armor sized to fit them, the same flexible material the Saiyans wear. Gohan remarks that wearing the enemy's gear will feel strange, but he accepts the practical advantage it offers for the battle ahead.
