Gohan Explodes with Rage

The chapter opens on the aftermath of Frieza's vicious attack on Krillin. Vegeta coldly remarks that Krillin should never have bothered protecting Dende. Frieza sarcastically claims he cannot control himself, then hurls Krillin off his horn and into the water far below. Gohan darts toward his falling friend, but Frieza intercepts him instantly, declaring that Krillin will be dead soon and there is nothing anyone can do.

Gohan's fury boils over. He screams at Frieza to get out of his way and launches a devastating kick to the face, followed immediately by a hard uppercut. Before Frieza can recover, Gohan hammers the tyrant's stomach with a rapid series of punches, then sends him hurtling backward with a powerful kick. As Frieza tumbles through the air, Gohan fires a Masendan energy blast that strikes dead center, driving the tyrant into the ground.

Frieza Endures

Still not satisfied, Gohan follows up with a Gekiretsu Madan barrage, raining energy blasts onto Frieza's position. Vegeta watches the outburst in stunned silence. Below the surface, Dende dives into the water and retrieves Krillin, reporting that he is still alive.

Gohan's attention shifts to Krillin's condition, and Vegeta sharply tells him to keep his focus on Frieza. Even Gohan's explosive assault will not be enough to finish the tyrant. Sure enough, Frieza rises from the rubble with minimal damage. He dusts himself off and concedes that Gohan actually managed to cause him a small amount of pain.

Help on the Way

Inside Frieza's spaceship, Goku lies suspended in the medical machine, urging everyone to hold on just a bit longer while his body heals. At the same time, Piccolo feels Frieza's power continuing to climb and pushes himself to fly even faster toward the battlefield. The stage is set for reinforcements, but the question remains whether they will arrive in time.
