Goku's Dominance

Goku lunges at Android 19 and vanishes the instant the android swings at him. Reappearing behind his opponent, Goku drives an elbow into 19's back and sends the machine tumbling forward. Android 20 is alarmed, but 19 recovers quickly and hurls himself headfirst at Goku. The Super Saiyan stops the charge with a single hand and kicks 19 skyward. Pursuing into the air, Goku appears behind the android once more. Android 19 throws several desperate strikes, but Goku dodges every one before countering with a knee to the stomach and an elbow to the face. Tien Shinhan marvels at Goku's power, comparing it to another dimension entirely. Piccolo, however, remains uneasy despite the lopsided showing.

Signs of Trouble

As Goku continues to batter Android 19, Android 20 grows concerned that 19 will run out of energy before absorbing any of Goku's power. Gohan, Yamcha, and Krillin arrive at the battlefield. Tien assures them that the androids stand no chance against a Super Saiyan. But Gohan senses something off, and Piccolo confirms the suspicion: Goku is rushing the fight and performing below his full capability. Yamcha shares his earlier experience of having energy drained by Android 20, introducing the group to the concept of energy absorption.

The Kamehameha Backfires

Goku sends Android 19 crashing to the ground with a powerful kick, but the android rises unfazed. Visibly exhausted, Goku decides to end things quickly and fires a Super Kamehameha. Rather than destroying 19, the blast is absorbed directly through the android's palms, fueling him with fresh energy. The Z Fighters watch in horror as Yamcha's warnings prove correct. Piccolo shouts at Goku to stop using ki blasts, but the damage is done. Krillin notices Goku's strange behavior, and Piccolo confirms that 19 never physically grabbed him, so the energy loss must come from elsewhere. Gohan suddenly realizes what is happening. Android 20 observes with satisfaction that 19's power has surged while Goku's has plummeted. Reinvigorated, Android 19 charges at Goku once more.
