Android 20 Retreats

Vegeta lands near Android 20 and powers down to his base form. He tells the android that he has lost a considerable amount of energy and that this would be the ideal moment to strike. Android 20 suspects a trap. Vegeta presses further, asking why 20 claimed he had no chance of victory. The android admits that Vegeta exceeded their projections. Vegeta calls him a sore loser, and Android 20 turns and runs toward the nearby rock formations, exactly as Piccolo feared. Vegeta demands a Senzu Bean from Krillin, who hesitates. Piccolo tells Krillin to hand it over, and he does. Vegeta transforms back into a Super Saiyan and orders the Z Fighters to stay out of his way before pursuing the android.

Pursuit Through the Mountains

Piccolo explains that Vegeta truly did expend most of his power against Android 19 and was bluffing when he confronted 20. He calls Vegeta a remarkable warrior who may have even surpassed Goku, shocking the group. Tien decides to follow Vegeta. Krillin and Gohan join as well, and Piccolo instructs them not to fight the android directly but to alert him or Vegeta if they spot it.

The Trap Springs Both Ways

Vegeta searches the rocky terrain with growing frustration. Unable to detect Android 20's ki, he attempts to flush the android out by launching Photon Bomber blasts at the ground. Krillin shouts for him to stop, since the other fighters are also in the area. Seizing the opportunity, Android 20 steps into the path of a blast and absorbs it through his palms. Vegeta spots the android and darts toward him, but 20 vanishes among the rocks with surprising speed. Watching from a hidden perch, Android 20 notes that the Z Fighters have grown too reliant on ki sensing and lost their ability to track movement visually. Despite acknowledging Vegeta's unexpected strength, he considers returning to his laboratory but prefers to avoid that option. He then spots Gohan, Tien, Piccolo, and Krillin nearby and decides to steal their energy before taking on Vegeta again.
