Reinforcements Crushed

Future Trunks, enraged by his father's broken arm, flies toward Android 18 with his sword drawn. Piccolo curses him for rushing in, and Android 17 intercepts as promised. Trunks swings at 18, but she blocks the blade with her forearm, snapping the edge off. Android 17 strikes Trunks in the back of the head, and the Super Saiyan drops instantly. Krillin, watching from the road above, is stunned that a Super Saiyan fell in a single blow. Piccolo charges 17 next but takes a kick in midair. Tien follows with a punch, but 17 dodges and locks him in a chokehold.

Total Domination

Vegeta tries to fly toward Tien, but Android 18 grabs his foot. Trunks staggers upright and runs at her, but she swings Vegeta into Trunks, sending both Saiyans crashing down. Piccolo rushes 17 again, but the android releases Tien, dodges Piccolo's punches, and hammers him in the chest. Vegeta gets airborne and fires a ki blast with his good arm. Android 18 sidesteps it, punches him back to the ground, and kicks him as he tries to rise. To ensure he cannot fight again, she plants her heel on his remaining arm and presses down until it snaps. Vegeta screams and loses consciousness, reverting to his base form.

An Unsettling Mercy

Android 17 observes that Vegeta's hair and glow reverted and calls the transformation strange. Android 18 notes the other fighter did the same, and 17 wonders who Trunks is, since they have no data on him. The two fly back to the road and land beside a terrified Krillin. Android 17 tells him the others are alive and suggests he feed them Senzu Beans right away. He adds that the androids will fight them again whenever they recover. Android 18 asks if 17 plans to ask about Goku's location, but he declines, saying it will be more fun to find it themselves. They rejoin Android 16, who has been staring into the distance. When 17 asks what he is looking at, 16 simply replies that the birds flew away because they were too noisy.
