Face to Face with the Monster

Standing in the empty streets of Gingertown, Piccolo gets his first complete look at the creature. It is a tall, insectoid humanoid with mottled green skin, a long tail ending in a needle-like stinger, and beetle wings folded against its back. Scattered around its feet lie the empty clothing of absorbed victims. The creature studies Piccolo with interest, noting that it senses Piccolo's energy but something feels different. Piccolo refuses to confirm his identity, telling the creature only that he is its executioner. The monster finds this amusing and remarks that Piccolo's power level has risen dramatically since its data was collected.

Opening Blows

Piccolo, bolstered by his fusion with Kami, wastes no time talking and charges at the creature. His speed catches the monster off guard, and he lands a devastating combination of strikes. The creature staggers but recovers quickly, its tail lashing out to try to pierce Piccolo. The Namekian warrior dodges and counters with a powerful ki blast that tears through part of the abandoned city. The creature emerges from the rubble visibly damaged but grinning. It tells Piccolo that he is impressive but that this is far from its full power. Piccolo demands to know what it is and where it came from. The creature cryptically replies that they share more in common than Piccolo realizes, hinting at its composite genetic makeup.

Sensing the Battle

From afar, Future Trunks and Krillin detect massive energy readings from the direction of Gingertown. Krillin recognizes Piccolo's ki and is astonished at how much stronger he has become after merging with Kami. Future Trunks notes a second enormous power signature fighting alongside Piccolo's and wonders who, or what, it could belong to. Both realize a serious battle is already underway and increase their speed toward the scene.
