Following their initial exchange, Cell and Goku acknowledge that the feeling-out phase is finished. Both warriors begin powering up in earnest. Goku's golden Super Saiyan aura flares to its peak intensity while Cell's own energy surges to match. The ground beneath them splinters and cracks from the sheer pressure of their combined output. The Z Fighters brace themselves against the shockwave, and even Vegeta narrows his eyes at the magnitude of power on display.

Mr. Satan and Jimmy Firecracker are caught in the windstorm of energy and struggle to keep their footing. Satan insists these are nothing but cheap tricks and light shows, though his trembling voice betrays his growing terror. Firecracker continues broadcasting to a worldwide audience that has fallen silent in awe.

A Battle Beyond Comprehension

With both fighters at maximum output, the real battle begins. Goku and Cell collide in a blinding exchange of punches and kicks. Their movements are so fast that the television cameras capture only flickers of motion and the occasional shockwave rippling through the sky. Krillin can barely follow the action, and Piccolo watches with intense focus, trying to gauge which fighter holds the advantage.

Cell connects with a heavy right hand that sends Goku skidding backward, but Goku retaliates instantly with a spinning kick that catches Cell across the jaw. Neither fighter gives ground for long. Future Trunks clenches his fists, finally understanding why his father trained so desperately, and yet still falls short of this level.

Evenly Matched

After a prolonged and ferocious exchange, Goku and Cell separate and land on opposite sides of the fractured arena. Both are breathing slightly heavier but remain composed. Cell compliments Goku on his strength, noting that the Saiyan lives up to every expectation. Goku returns the acknowledgment, confirming that Cell is every bit as formidable as he anticipated. The stage is set for the battle to escalate even further.
