Mr. Satan insists on fighting Cell first despite Goku's warning. He performs a tile-breaking demonstration that impresses the television audience but draws only silence from the real fighters. His attack on Cell proves entirely futile; a single backhand sends the champion crashing into a mountainside. Somehow still alive, Mr. Satan insists he merely tripped as Goku steps up to take his turn.
Cell calls for someone to enter the ring. Mr. Satan insists he is going first and declares nobody else will need to fight. Goku warns him he will be killed, but Mr. Satan ignores the advice. The announcer broadcasts the warning to the world, and viewers dismiss Goku as a fool. At King Castle, King Furry watches and thinks the blond man resembles the boy who saved the world from King Piccolo, though the hair and eye color are different. He also notices one of the bystanders looks almost identical to King Piccolo himself.
Krillin tells Goku not to worry, since they can revive Mr. Satan with the Dragon Balls if needed. Goku relents. Mr. Satan removes his cape and belt, pulls a capsule from his gi, and pops open a duffel bag containing fifteen tiles. He stacks them and chops through fourteen with his bare hand. The world cheers. Cell and the other fighters remain silent, Cell thinking Mr. Satan is a complete idiot.
Mr. Satan takes his stance. The announcer hypes the battle as the one that will decide Earth's fate. Mr. Satan charges and launches his Dynamite Kick straight into Cell's face, then follows with a flurry of punches. None of the blows have any effect. Cell endures the barrage briefly before swatting Mr. Satan aside with a casual backhand. The champion rockets through the air and crashes into a mountainside.
Krillin whispers to Gohan that he was honestly rooting for Cell on that one. Mr. Satan survives the impact but is clearly in severe pain. Piccolo observes that even Cell could not be bothered finishing off someone so weak. The global audience is stunned their champion received a ring-out. Cell declares it is time for the real Cell Games to begin, and Goku steps forward. The announcer trembles, believing the world is doomed, as Mr. Satan staggers back clutching his bloodied face. He insists he just tripped. Vegeta shakes his head, calling Mr. Satan the World Champion of idiots.
