The Winner!

Manga ChapterCh. 431

Trunks boasts he can win using only his right hand, but Goten proves that claim premature with several clean hits. The prize is settled, but the real spectacle is about to begin: the winner must now face Mr. Satan.

One-Handed Gamble

Trunks declares he can win the rest of the fight without using his left hand. Goten does not buy it. Trunks rushes forward, striking only with his right arm, but Goten blocks the blow and answers with a kick square to the face. Another exchange follows, and Goten connects with a punch that snaps Trunks's head back. The two separate, and Trunks fires a small energy blast toward the ground where Goten is standing. Goten leaps into the air to avoid it.

Super Saiyan Showdown

Hovering above the ring, Goten steadies himself and then rockets straight down toward Trunks at full speed. Trunks reads the attack, holding perfectly still until the last possible moment before sidestepping. Goten manages to change direction mid-dive instead of crashing into the tile, flying after Trunks and refusing to let the dodge go to waste.

Out of options, Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan and fires a blast with his left hand into Goten's back. The impact sends Goten sailing into the crowd, landing beyond the ring's edge. The announcer confirms it: ring-out, Trunks wins the Junior Division championship.

Aftermath

Goten storms back to the ring and accuses Trunks of cheating on two counts. He went Super Saiyan, and he used his left hand despite his promise. Trunks counters that Goten transformed first during the previous exchange and that the blast did not count as a direct left-handed hit. Goku is surprised to learn that Trunks can also become a Super Saiyan. Vegeta simply laughs, proud that his son came out on top.

Trunks offers to give Goten three of his toys as consolation, which immediately cheers the younger boy up. The announcer steps into the ring and reminds everyone of the next event: the exhibition match between the Junior Division champion and the reigning world champion, Mr. Satan. Backstage, Satan stands frozen, fully aware of what he is about to walk into.
