Gohan heals Videl with a Senzu Bean, and his classmates finally unmask him as the Great Saiyaman. The fourth match begins, but instead of fighting, Kibito asks Gohan to transform into a Super Saiyan. Backstage, the Supreme Kai reveals his identity to the full group and instructs everyone not to interfere, no matter what happens next.
The announcer informs the crowd that Videl's life is not in danger and prepares to call the fourth match, but Gohan rushes out to ask for a brief delay. Goku returns from Korin Tower with three Senzu Beans, the last ones available. Gohan hurries to the infirmary and tells Videl to eat the bean. The doctor protests, objecting to unregulated food being given to a patient. Videl trusts Gohan and chews the bean despite Mr. Satan ordering her to spit it out. Within seconds her eyes widen, her wounds vanish, and she springs to her feet in astonishment. Mr. Satan and the doctor stand frozen in disbelief.
The fourth match is announced as Great Saiyaman versus Kibito. In the stands, Erasa and Sharpner recognize the name as Satan City's costumed hero. A classmate peers through binoculars and confirms the competitor looks exactly like Gohan. Erasa guesses Gohan entered under the alias because he is too shy to compete openly, while Sharpner wonders whether he can fight at all. Realizing his cover is completely blown, Gohan sighs and tosses his sunglasses aside.
The match begins, but Kibito makes an unexpected request: he asks Gohan to transform into a Super Saiyan, insisting it could help with a larger plan. Gohan demands to know how Kibito knows about Super Saiyans and what he means by "help us." Kibito tells him he will understand soon. Gohan hesitates, aware that transforming in front of the entire crowd will expose him further. Backstage, Spopovich monitors a strange meter and notes that the fighters' energy readings are still low. Piccolo shouts a warning to Gohan, sensing something is off. The Supreme Kai steps forward, apologizes, and explains that they need to use Gohan. He orders the group not to interfere no matter what happens. Vegeta refuses to take orders from a stranger, so Piccolo reveals that Shin is the Supreme Kai, the god who presides over all the Kais. The revelation stuns everyone. With no other option, Gohan resolves to transform and begins powering up before the restless crowd.
