Gohan pushes beyond Super Saiyan and ascends to a stage that shocks everyone present, including Kibito. Spopovich and Yamu seize the moment, storming the ring with a device marked with the letter "M." The Supreme Kai freezes Gohan in place while the two agents drain his energy into their container, then flee into the sky. With no time to waste, the Supreme Kai asks the Z Fighters to follow him.
The crowd grows impatient as Gohan and Kibito stand motionless in the ring. Chi-Chi yells at the spectators to be quiet, insisting her son is about to do something incredible. Krillin asks the Supreme Kai what will happen once Gohan transforms. Shin explains that Spopovich and Yamu may attack Gohan to steal his energy and stresses that nobody should intervene.
Gohan announces he will push past the wall of Super Saiyan into the stage beyond. Kibito is stunned to learn such a level exists. Gohan powers up and ascends to Super Saiyan 2, producing a shockwave that sweeps the arena. Spopovich's meter goes haywire, confirming enormous energy. Vegeta notes that Gohan is weaker than he was against Cell due to years of neglected training. The Supreme Kai insists the power is already beyond imagination.
Sharpner and Erasa realize Gohan is the Golden Warrior from Satan City. Spectators recall similar golden fighters during the Cell Games broadcast. Yamu produces a device shaped like a syringe and stamped with the letter "M." He and Spopovich fly into the ring. Gohan senses them and turns to defend himself, but the Supreme Kai uses telekinesis to lock his body in place. Spopovich pins Gohan while Yamu drives the device into him and drains his energy until the container is full.
With their prize secured, Yamu and Spopovich rocket into the sky. Gohan collapses, drained and barely conscious. The Supreme Kai assures everyone that Kibito will heal Gohan completely, then announces his plan to follow the agents and asks the Z Fighters to join him. The crowd is baffled by the bizarre events, and Chi-Chi panics over Gohan. Krillin asks Goku what to do, and Goku's answer is immediate: follow the Supreme Kai and finally get answers.
