Choosing the Next Beast

Rattled by Pui Pui's swift defeat, Babidi decides there is no room left for carelessness. He orders Yakon, a far more dangerous creature, to handle Stage Two. Dabura protests mildly, worried that sending their best fighter so early will leave him with nothing to do, but Babidi reminds him that resurrecting Majin Buu takes priority over personal enjoyment. A henchman is dispatched to summon the beast.

In the waiting chamber, the Saiyans grow restless. Vegeta considers blasting through the floor to speed things up, but Supreme Kai once again warns that a strong impact could jostle Majin Buu's sealed cocoon. Vegeta dismisses the threat, comparing Buu to Dabura and calling neither one particularly impressive. Goku agrees, estimating that Dabura is roughly as powerful as Cell was seven years earlier. Supreme Kai struggles to comprehend how casually these warriors measure power that once seemed godlike to him.

Into Total Darkness

The door opens and Yakon lumbers through. The creature is enormous, frog-like in build, with a wide mouth and massive claws. He asks which of them he gets to eat first, and Goku volunteers. Supreme Kai recognizes the beast by reputation, but before he can share what he knows, Yakon throws a punch. Goku narrowly dodges the strike, and a follow-up swipe of Yakon's claws slashes through his outer shirt. Gohan observes that the monster combines tremendous size with surprising speed, though he assures Supreme Kai that his father can handle the fight alone.

Light in the Void

Babidi transports the arena to Planet Ankoku, Yakon's home turf, a world of absolute darkness. The room plunges into a void where nothing is visible. Yakon strikes with his claws, but Goku dodges every attack and lands a clean kick to the creature's face. When Yakon expresses confusion, Goku explains that he can track movement through the flow of air and the sensation of energy, even without sight. He then reveals that he does have a way to see, and transforms into a Super Saiyan. Golden light floods the entire area, illuminating the battlefield. Babidi and Dabura watch through the crystal ball, bewildered by the sudden transformation.
