Two separate battles unfold simultaneously as Goku and Majin Vegeta clash in their Super Saiyan 2 rematch while Gohan and Supreme Kai descend through Babidi's ship to confront the wizard directly. Vegeta refuses Babidi's commands with defiant pride, and Goku hands Gohan a Senzu Bean with one final piece of advice before the young Saiyan drops into the chamber holding Majin Buu's sealed ball.
Babidi attempts once more to command Majin Vegeta, but the Saiyan prince refuses. His only interest is fighting Kakarot. Vegeta tells the wizard that controlling his body and mind is not the same as controlling his pride. Dabura reassures Babidi that Vegeta's purpose was always energy generation, not obedience. If Supreme Kai reaches them, Dabura will handle it. Supreme Kai is amazed that Vegeta possesses the willpower to defy the spell outright.
Before separating, Goku gives Gohan a Senzu Bean and tells him to eat it now. He reminds Gohan to channel his anger as he did against Cell, assuring him no opponent can beat him at his full depth. Gohan expresses regret that this is happening during Goku's single day among the living. Dabura suggests Babidi open the doors for Supreme Kai so Buu is not revived at less than full power. Gohan and Supreme Kai descend through open floor panels to the bottom chamber, where Babidi and Dabura wait beside the sealed ball.
Above ground, Goku declares he will fight at maximum power to end this quickly, since every exchange feeds energy to the cocoon. Vegeta is eager to see the fruits of Goku's training in the Other World. Goku powers up with crackling electricity, and Vegeta acknowledges he is even stronger than Gohan was during the Cell Games before matching the transformation.
Vegeta launches a savage kick that Goku barely blocks, then throws a punch that Goku catches. Both warriors lock hands and trade knee strikes until Vegeta headbutts Goku backward. Goku recovers and kicks Vegeta into the ground. The Saiyan prince rebounds from the crater, and the two fighters lock eyes, smirking at each other with mutual respect.
