The Buu revival meter fills to capacity as Goku and Vegeta's Super Saiyan 2 duel generates massive damage energy. Babidi transports everyone to the surface before the ship is destroyed. Vegeta confesses the real reason he surrendered to Babidi: he wanted to reclaim his ruthless nature, free from the softness that family life brought.
Babidi suggests relocating to the surface, warning that Majin Buu might destroy the ship upon emerging. Supreme Kai agrees, vowing to prevent the revival. Babidi teleports everyone outside along with the sealed ball. He asks Dabura whether he can defeat Gohan, and the Demon King responds with absolute confidence. Gohan channels his anger and powers up to Super Saiyan. Babidi taunts the young warrior, boasting of greater magical power than his father Bibidi and having Dabura by his side.
Then the meter on the sealed ball begins beeping. Babidi checks it and discovers the gauge is already full. He erupts with giddy excitement.
Supreme Kai cannot believe how much damage energy Goku has taken. Gohan deduces that both fighters must be operating well beyond normal Super Saiyan, producing catastrophic energy with every exchange. Trunks and Goten sense the staggering power levels and wonder what is happening.
Goku and Vegeta pause to catch their breath. Goku notes they are evenly matched, but Vegeta says the gap between them never truly closed through training. He explains that watching Goku fight Dabura made it clear, and that is when he secretly chose to embrace Babidi's control so the difference would vanish.
Goku asks whether the pride-filled prince would truly surrender his autonomy just for strength. Vegeta's answer cuts deep: over the years he was influenced by the people around him, started a family, grew to enjoy Earth, and developed attachments. By letting Babidi take control, he intended to strip away that softness and become the cold warrior he once was. Goku questions whether that is really true, and thick smoke begins pouring from the sealed ball.
