The Unlock Ritual Continues

Supreme Kai senses that every human on Earth has been killed, though the planet remains intact. Goku is horrified. Across the Sacred World, Gohan sits impatiently as Old Kai reads manga. Gohan demands to know if the process is finished. Old Kai dismisses him, and a frustrated Gohan stands and shouts, releasing a massive wave of energy that nearly blows everyone away. He stops mid-sentence, stunned that the boiling power is genuinely his own. Old Kai orders him to sit, and Gohan sheepishly apologizes. Goku reconsiders his opinion of Old Kai, wondering how deep Gohan's reserves truly run.

Buu's Impatience at the Lookout

Super Buu stares at the hourglass Piccolo set for him. Trunks and Goten notice how drastically different he looks. Piccolo warns the transformation goes beyond appearance and urges them into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where one minute of real time yields six hours of training.

Chi-Chi storms out and slaps Buu, screaming at him for killing Gohan. Buu fires a Transfiguration Beam, turns her into an egg, and crushes it underfoot before returning to the hourglass. Goten trembles with rage, but Piccolo orders him to hold back: Chi-Chi can be revived with the Dragon Balls after Buu is defeated. Trunks channels Goten's anger into resolve, vowing they will train hard and destroy Buu.

Into the Chamber

Inside the chamber, Trunks grumbles about the terrible food. Goten ignores him and charges into the white void to train, so Trunks follows. Outside, Videl asks Piccolo how Buu seems to know her father. Piccolo explains that Mr. Satan chose friendship over force, and even after the transformation, those memories persisted. Buu spared him when every other human died.

Buu suddenly screams that he refuses to wait. He destroys the hourglass and blasts a hole through the temple. Piccolo relents and leads Buu toward the chamber. Krillin realizes Piccolo intends to trap the fight inside a sealed dimension, far from everyone else.
