Gotenks and Piccolo believe they have destroyed Super Buu, but the monster regenerates from nothing. When Gotenks bluffs about being out of power, Piccolo destroys the chamber entrance, sealing all three inside permanently. Buu responds to the news with a scream so powerful it tears a hole between dimensions.
On the Sacred World of the Kai, Goku notices that Buu's ki has vanished. Supreme Kai confirms it, though neither can sense the boys either. Old Kai explains that the combatants are inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, an alternate dimension. Goku realizes what that means and wonders why they chose that location. Old Kai notes that the Namekian led Buu inside deliberately. Goku compliments his perceptiveness, and Supreme Kai admits he himself has become relatively useless.
Inside the chamber, Gotenks celebrates his victory. Piccolo warns that Buu's flesh can regenerate and urges them to burn every remaining scrap. The two spend considerable time incinerating every piece, and Gotenks stomps the last fragment flat. Piccolo breathes a sigh of relief.
A sudden gust spirals upward, and Buu's particles begin gathering above them. He reforms completely. Gotenks realizes frying the body accomplished nothing. Piccolo regrets not vaporizing Buu with pure ki and wonders if they should have destroyed the entrance to trap him here.
Piccolo asks if Gotenks can use the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack again. Gotenks still has power but decides to mess with Piccolo, dramatically claiming he has nothing left. Buu seizes the opening, snatching Gotenks by the ankle with his forelock and slamming him around. Gotenks calls Buu bald, earning a punch that sends him flying. Furious, Gotenks prepares his strongest technique, but Piccolo acts first and blasts the chamber entrance to rubble.
Piccolo tells Buu the only exit is gone. Even if Buu kills them, he spends eternity alone with no candy. Gotenks explodes at Piccolo, insisting he still had his best attack ready. Piccolo fires back, citing the bluff. While the two argue, Buu screams with raw fury. The sound is so intense that a dimensional rift opens before him, and the Lookout becomes visible through the tear.
