Recruiting Buu and Visiting Zuno

Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo visit Satan House to inform Buu about the tournament. Meanwhile, Bulma and Jaco travel to Zuno's planet. Visitors must present a gift before asking questions. Jaco offers a kiss but, being male, receives only one question. He wastes it asking about Bulma's bust size, which Zuno answers with uncomfortable precision. Bulma kisses Zuno and earns three questions, but two are burned through accidental phrasing. With her final question, she asks about the Super Dragon Balls. Zuno explains that the Dragon God Zalama created them in Year 41, each sphere measuring 37,196 kilometers across. He describes the summoning phrase and reveals that the balls scatter across both Universe 6 and Universe 7 after a wish is granted.

Three Years in a Single Room

Inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku and Vegeta push each other to the limit. Goku wonders whether Champa's fighters will be strong. Vegeta reasons that Champa watched their training and remained confident, which says everything. Talk drifts to Saiyan biology: Goku reminds Vegeta that their race stays physically young until eighty, and Vegeta retorts that he was referring to maturity, not biology. Both warriors transform into Super Saiyan Blue and train at full intensity for three years of chamber time.

Arrival at the Nameless Planet

On tournament day, Whis transports everyone inside his cube. Friends and family join, though Gohan stays behind for an academic conference. Bulma shares her findings about the Super Dragon Balls, which angers Beerus because it confirms Champa trespassed into Universe 7. Vegeta meets Monaka, the mysterious strongest fighter Beerus has ever faced, who introduces himself by explaining his name means large nipples. After nearly three hours of travel, the group arrives. The Super Dragon Balls gleam at planetary scale. Goku spots Shin and Kibito, now separate, along with Fuwa, the Universe 6 Supreme Kai. As the fighters approach the stage, Goku and Vegeta notice a combatant on Champa's team who looks exactly like Frieza.
