Vegeta storms the ring and demolishes Frost in seconds as a Super Saiyan, then faces the 1,000-ton Metalman Auta Magetta, whose invulnerable body shrugs off every energy attack. When brute force fails, Vegeta discovers that a well-placed insult can shatter Magetta's fragile spirit entirely.
Beerus demands that Goku be reinstated alongside Vegeta, since his loss was also caused by Frost's needle. The tournament presenter agrees, and Vegeta insists on fighting first. The instant the match begins, Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan and demolishes Frost in seconds, driving a knee into his stomach and blasting him out of the ring with a Kiai. He notes he held back only to avoid a killing disqualification. Botamo and Cabba stare in disbelief, while Hit remains still with his eyes closed.
Vegeta's next opponent is Auta Magetta, a towering Metalman from Galaxy 66950. Vegeta punches Magetta full-force and hurts his own fist against the impervious body. Magetta slams Vegeta and nearly stomps him flat, forcing a last-second dodge. An energy wave from the air proves equally useless, as Magetta emerges without a scratch and vents steam. Goku shouts for Vegeta to throw Magetta out of bounds, but even as a Super Saiyan, Vegeta cannot budge the 1,000-ton fighter. After taking a blow to the head, Vegeta regroups in the air and begins destroying the ring around Magetta with ki blasts. Magetta retaliates by spitting molten projectiles that neutralize several of them. Vegeta protests to the referee, but is told the spit is a natural bodily function.
Furious, Vegeta hurls a deeply offensive insult at Magetta while firing a powerful energy sphere. The blast bounces off harmlessly, but Magetta suddenly collapses, completely dysfunctional. Whis explains that Metalmen are extraordinarily emotional, and a cruel insult can crush their spirit entirely. As Vados repairs the ring, Champa gives Cabba a pep talk. The young Saiyan walks into the ring, introduces himself to Vegeta, and the next match begins.
