The Fall of the Supreme Kai

Future Trunks narrates events from several years prior. On the Sacred World of the Kai, he trains with the Z-Sword under Future Shin and Future Kibito. Before he can test the blade against Katchin, Future Kibito senses Future Babidi on the move, and all three rush to confront the threat. Future Dabura petrifies the Z-Sword with Stone Spit, and Future Trunks barely drops it before the effect spreads to his body. The sword shatters on the ground. Future Babidi reveals that his minions were decoys and he spent over ten years gathering energy to revive Majin Buu. Future Dabura intercepts Future Shin, then obliterates Future Kibito at point-blank range. Future Babidi tortures Future Shin with his magic.

Super Saiyan 2 Awakens

Pushed past his limit, Future Trunks erupts into Super Saiyan 2 and beats Future Dabura into Future Babidi. When Dabura attempts his Evil Spear, Future Shin freezes him with Telekinesis. Future Trunks fires a Burning Attack that destroys both villains. Future Shin, satisfied Majin Buu will never be revived, succumbs to his injuries. Goku Black, watching from afar, celebrates finding a timeline without a God of Destruction.

Zamasu's Discontent

In the present, Whis confirms that only gods know about the Supreme Kai and Destroyer link, meaning Black operates at a godly level. Future Trunks meets his younger counterpart and encounters Mai, who is immediately smitten. In the alternate future, Goku Black searches for Future Trunks's ki and finds nothing, musing that every Supreme Kai has been eliminated.

The scene shifts to Universe 10, where apprentice Zamasu dominates a sparring match with Kibito under Gowasu and the visiting Universe 7 Kais. When Shin credits a mortal named Goku for helping defeat Buu, Zamasu is unsettled and declares that unnecessary existences should be eliminated. Gowasu assigns him to observe Planet Babari. When Zamasu concludes the violent inhabitants should be destroyed, Gowasu corrects him, stating that judgment belongs to the God of Destruction. He proposes using a Time Ring to see whether the creatures find peace.
