Life, Training and More

Manga ChapterCh. 27

With the Zamasu crisis behind them, Goku tangles with roadside bandits while Vegeta trains under Whis and unlocks Perfected Super Saiyan Blue during a sparring match against Beerus himself. The calm shatters when Goku presses Zeno's button to remind the Omni-King about a promised universal tournament.

Back to Daily Life

Some time after Infinite Zamasu's defeat, Goku drops off produce at a local market. On the drive home he stops to help a broken-down truck, only to find the occupants are wanted bandits running a scam. They try to steal the Gull Wing air truck Bulma gave him, but Goku knocks them out easily. A stray bullet grazes him during the scuffle, a humbling reminder that he has let his guard slip since the last battle. He turns the criminals in at a police station and collects a generous bounty, hoping the windfall will convince Chi-Chi to finally let him resume training.

Vegeta's Breakthrough

On Beerus' planet, Vegeta trains with Whis, who notes the Saiyan's attacks have grown sharper. The Oracle Fish attributes Vegeta's intensity to the power gap Goku displayed against Zamasu. When Beerus dismisses the prophecy that both Saiyans will rival him, he challenges Vegeta directly. Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan Blue but cannot land a single blow. Focusing deeper, he achieves Perfected Super Saiyan Blue, the same state Goku used against Fused Zamasu. The new form lets him apply real pressure and connect a punch, though Beerus ends the fight swiftly, conceding only that Vegeta could serve as a God of Destruction in another universe.

Whis praises Vegeta but identifies his core flaw: he thinks before he moves, when every part of his body should act independently. He offers extended training, but Vegeta declines because Bulma is due to give birth. Back on Earth, Goku contacts Whis for his own training slot. At Beerus' planet, Goku brings up the all-universe tournament Zeno once promised. Beerus orders him to stay away from the Omni-King, but Goku presses the other side of Zeno's button and teleports straight to him.
