Gohan vs. Kefla

Fifteen minutes remain with only 12 fighters left. Shin suggests running out the clock, but Beerus dismisses the idea. Kefla throws Gohan down and mocks him for refusing to transform. Gohan kicks her away and declares he has chosen to evolve as a human rather than a Saiyan. Piccolo tells Krillin that Gohan has regained his battle instincts and grown more powerful than ever.

They fight to mutual exhaustion. Kefla accepts her fate, and Champa thanks Vados for her years of service. Both fighters land simultaneous blows and knock each other from the arena. Champa pulls a defiant face at Beerus before being erased alongside Universe 6.

Crashing Against the Wall

Goku resumes his fight with Jiren in Perfected Super Saiyan Blue, but every punch is meaningless. Desperate, Goku draws from his deepest reserves for a temporary boost that Krillin identifies as the Kaio-ken. The added power lets Goku hit harder, but Jiren absorbs every strike. He tells Goku that power gained by destroying one's body cannot be wielded properly.

Master Roshi's Final Lesson

Master Roshi forces Kahseral to the edge using nothing but refined technique despite his low power reading. With one fluid counter, he eliminates the Pride Trooper. He then asks Goku what strength truly means. Goku admits he thinks he needs a greater power, but Roshi corrects him: the martial arts exist not to win fights but to conquer oneself. He reminds Goku of lessons from Korin, Mr. Popo, King Kai, and Whis about eliminating wasted movement and quieting the mind.

Roshi charges at Jiren and instinctively dodges every retaliatory blow. Whis sees a resemblance to Ultra Instinct, though it falls short. Jiren catches Roshi with a chop and eliminates him. Whis tells Beerus that Roshi's words have triggered a change in Goku. Moments later, Goku dodges one of Jiren's attacks and enters Ultra Instinct Sign for the first time. The form vanishes almost immediately, and Jiren knocks the weakened Goku down, declaring that a man with so little resolve will never defeat him.
