Tracking a Predator

After sensing Moro's energy, Goku tells Vegeta it felt like countless voices screaming in agony. Merus explains this is a byproduct of Moro absorbing planetary life force and converting it into his own power. Elsewhere in space, Moro rides aboard a ship piloted by Cranberry, a fellow escapee. Goku deduces that Moro is heading toward New Namek. Merus confirms the theory: Moro can now detect planets harboring life. Pasta Macareni, still in custody, reveals that word of the Namekian Dragon Balls had spread through the prison after a former soldier of Frieza mentioned them.

Arrival on New Namek

Aboard his vessel, Moro reflects that a sliver of magic returned around the time of Kid Buu's defeat, eventually giving him enough power to escape. Cranberry tells him the Dragon Balls grant three wishes and secures a promise that one will send him to a planet where he will never be found.

On New Namek, Elder Moori senses trouble just as Moro's ship descends. Goku teleports himself and Vegeta to the surface with Instant Transmission. They warn Moori, and the Namekians gather the Dragon Balls and flee. Moro uses telekinesis to yank the young Namekian Esca from hiding and grabs him by the throat. Vegeta kicks Moro away and rescues the child, declaring he will fight first to repay the debt he owes the Namekian people.

Vegeta Steps Up

As a Super Saiyan, Vegeta charges Moro but struggles to connect. Moro flings him with invisible force. Vegeta then ascends to Super Saiyan God, breaks free of the telekinetic grip, and lands a clean kick to Moro's face. He casually destroys an impaled tree and swats aside thrown boulders, dismissing Moro's tricks as nothing new. Meanwhile, Merus turns back toward headquarters, telling Jaco that the Saiyans are very unlikely to win. On the battlefield, Moro discards his cloak and readies his magic in earnest.
