Moro reveals the scope of his sorcery by channeling New Namek's own energy against Vegeta, summoning eruptions of planetary force that cannot be dodged or blocked. After a calculated bluff, Vegeta tricks Moro into revealing his wish, then ascends to Super Saiyan God SS Evolved. The advantage is brief as Moro drains the planet and both Saiyans, devouring the stolen energy for a massive power boost.
With his cloak removed, Moro channels New Namek's life energy for combat. Geysers of power erupt beneath Vegeta, catching him off guard. Moro explains that the attack draws on the planet itself. Vegeta takes to the air, but torrents of energy slam him back to the ground. He charges directly, only for Moro to raise a wall of planetary force as a shield. Goku offers to switch in, but Vegeta refuses. When Vegeta suggests the technique must have a limit, Moro counters that it will last until the planet is completely drained.
Unable to close the distance, Vegeta shifts tactics. He asks Moro why he came to New Namek and offers cooperation, hoping to draw out information. Moro mocks him but reveals he wants the Dragon Balls. During the fight, Vegeta presses further: what would Moro even wish for, given his power? Moro scoffs that at his peak, Vegeta would be nothing more than an insect. He desires full restoration of the strength he lost during millennia of imprisonment.
Having extracted the answer, Vegeta drops the act and ascends to Super Saiyan Blue. Moro intensifies his attacks, but Vegeta pushes into Super Saiyan God SS Evolved, outmaneuvering everything and burying a kick in Moro's stomach that launches him into the sea.
Moro surfaces and Goku warns Vegeta something feels wrong. Cranberry, believing his master is losing, tries to flee. Moro charges a massive sphere of energy, siphoning power from the planet, from Goku, from Vegeta, and from the Namekians. Everyone grows faint. Rather than firing the blast, Moro condenses it and swallows it whole, gaining a tremendous boost. He pulls Cranberry's ship back with telekinesis. Vegeta tries to transform again but lacks the energy. Now far stronger, Moro seizes him and hurls him aside, declaring the Saiyan was not the only one hiding his true intent.
