The sole surviving Cerealian takes center stage as Granolah's traumatic past and hatred for the Saiyans come into focus. He delivers Seven-Three to the Heeters and demands help finding Frieza. Meanwhile, Goku trains with Whis on Beerus's planet, and Vegeta receives a cryptic hint that the Gods of Destruction wield a power entirely distinct from Ultra Instinct.
Granolah relives a childhood memory of the Saiyan invasion: Great Apes rampaging through streets littered with dead Cerealians, and a scarred Great Ape smashing through a church ceiling above him. He wakes aboard his ship after stealing Seven-Three. His companion Oatmeel asks why he still obsesses over the Frieza Force. Granolah explains that the Saiyans wiped out his people, and a meteor destroyed the Saiyans before he could take revenge. The Frieza Force remains his target.
Goku catches the insomniac Oracle Fish so Whis can administer vitamins. Whis notes the fish's sleeplessness sometimes signals danger. Goku and Whis spar, with Goku using Perfected Ultra Instinct at will yet still unable to match Whis. Whis tells Goku that wielding Ultra Instinct is only a starting point, not the destination. Beerus asks Vegeta if he plans to pursue Ultra Instinct too. Vegeta declines, and Beerus hints at another path to divine power used by the Gods of Destruction. He refuses to explain but invites Vegeta to watch and steal whatever he can.
Granolah delivers Seven-Three to Elec, leader of the Heeters, who plans to extract intelligence rather than build an army. When Elec reveals Frieza has been revived, Granolah demands his location. Gas restrains the Cerealian for his insolence. Elec counsels patience and promises aid when the time is right. On his way home, Granolah is ambushed by the bounty hunter Soshiru but picks off his crew with his enhanced Cerealian right eye. He admits to Oatmeel that he missed one shot, proof he is not yet strong enough. Back on Beerus's planet, the Oracle Fish murmurs in its sleep that the strongest warrior will soon emerge.
