Whis teaches Goku that transforming to access Ultra Instinct is a limitation, not a strength. The Heeters set their scheme in motion, visiting Zuno for intelligence and traveling to Earth to lure Goku and Vegeta to Planet Cereal. As the Saiyans depart, Macki contacts Granolah and frames the two as assassins sent by Frieza.
On Beerus's planet, Whis challenges Goku to identify the key difference between himself and the Angels. After a quick demonstration ending with Goku whacked by the staff, Whis explains: Angels exist in Ultra Instinct permanently, while Goku transforms to access it. Treating it as just another power-up limits its potential. Goku realizes he must learn to use Ultra Instinct in base form. Whis confirms that doing so will eliminate the stamina drain and the transformation should become a last resort. He warns both Saiyans that something odd has occurred in the universe.
At the Heeters' base, Oil and Macki prepare for Earth. Elec tells them to visit Zuno first to locate Goku and Vegeta. He privately reassures Gas that he could have beaten Granolah and that Gas alone can surpass Frieza. When the dust settles, the Heeters will rule everything. Weeks later, Macki kisses Zuno and earns ten questions. Meanwhile, Goku and Vegeta train relentlessly, making significant progress.
Oil and Macki visit Chi-Chi with a story about needing help against a villain, offering Sky Gold as payment. At Capsule Corporation, Bulma contacts the Saiyans, who recognize the description as matching the Oracle Fish's prophecy and agree to help. Beerus gives Vegeta an earring symbolizing his right to use Hakai. Whis draws his symbol on Goku's gi. During the eighteen-day voyage, Macki steals the Dragon Radar but finds no signal; Oil reminds her Cerealian Dragon Balls do not turn to stone. While Goku eats and Vegeta trains, Macki calls Granolah and tells him Frieza has sent two Saiyan assassins. Granolah steps out, declaring his fifty-year wait for revenge on the Saiyans is over.
