Vegeta takes over the fight against Granolah while a battered Goku lies unconscious. Despite being outmatched in raw power, Vegeta relishes the pure thrill of combat and pushes himself beyond his limits. After Granolah shatters his armor with a pressure point attack, Vegeta's fighting spirit ignites a brand new transformation rooted in the power of destruction itself.
As the Sugarians evacuate in panic, Vegeta positions himself between the unconscious Goku and Granolah. He declares that neither fusion nor clone tricks will work on him. Granolah commits his full strength, no longer conserving power for Frieza. Vegeta tells the Cerealian that neither he nor Goku serves Frieza, and Oatmeel echoes this over their earpiece, but Granolah refuses to listen. He intends to kill every surviving Saiyan. Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan God SS Evolved and detonates rocks around Granolah. The Cerealian escapes into the air, retaliates by destroying a massive boulder using his own destruction-like technique, and slugs Vegeta in the gut. Vegeta cannot gain the upper hand as Granolah hammers him into a river.
Granolah fires precision shots into the water while Vegeta dives down a waterfall to evade. Using Oatmeel's targeting, Granolah fires a devastating blast at the distant lake. Vegeta destroys the attack outright but is hurled from the water. Goku awakens in pain from his earlier heart wound and observes. Vegeta goads Granolah into demolishing the ancient Cerealian ruins, then taunts him about his lack of real combat experience, correctly deducing the power was only recently acquired.
Granolah lands a brutal kick, and despite Vegeta hurting him with an elbow, kicks the prince away. But Vegeta is invigorated by the uncertainty of outcomes, declaring that strength rankings reflect only a moment in time. Granolah responds with a pressure point attack that shatters Vegeta's armor and drops him to base form. Blood drips from Vegeta's mouth, yet instead of falling he laughs. No planet to save, no people to protect; just battle. His aura erupts into a towering inferno as Granolah stumbles back. Goku senses energy like a God of Destruction's. When the flames clear, Vegeta stands transformed, having ascended through his training with Beerus into a form channeling the traits of the Destroyers themselves.
