An in-between animator who contributed technical animation work to early Dragon Ball. His animation in-betweening supported the series' movement during its inaugural broadcast run.
Ikeda performed in-between animation for Dragon Ball episode 2, contributing to the Emperor Pilaf Saga's opening sequences. This early assignment positioned him among animators working during the series' initial production phase.
Beyond Dragon Ball, Ikeda's in-between animation work extended to the Dr. Slump and Arale-chan theatrical feature Hoyoyo, contributing to another Akira Toriyama franchise adaptation. His involvement in animation in-betweening during the 1980s positioned him within the technical animation infrastructure supporting major anime productions.
